JORN:ROCK N ROLL ANGEL PHOTO VIDEO

PS: The new Cd is killer!! I have only heard it a few times but it so rocks! Its really dark and you can feel the vibe of how Jorn is feeling on this. He has the weight of the world on his shoulders, this is the kind of man he is. Things terrify him and make him sad. The reason he has such die-hard fans is because of his way of seeing things and how he is able to draw us in to his world. He is also a true and real person with a good heart and soul. He is definlatey a true rock spirit!!

LIZZY BORDEN NEWS!!!

LIZZY BORDEN has uploaded a promotional video (see below) for the band's appearance at the Rocklahoma festival, which is scheduled to take place July 9-12, 2009 on the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma. A photo of the brand new LIZZY BORDEN lineup — featuring the group's latest addition, 19-year-old guitarist Dario Lorina — can be viewed below. The picture was taken by photographer Alex Solca backstage at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, California right before the band's performance at the Michelle Meldrum memorial/benefit concert on May 26. LIZZY BORDEN's current lineup:

Lizzy Borden - Vocals
Marten Andersson - Bas
Chris Sanders - Guitar
Joey Scott
- Drums
Dario Lorina
- Guitar

At age 16, Lorina was recognized for his passion and what some may call exceptional talent, and began touring with multi-platinum songwriter and WARRANT frontman Jani Lane. During that time Dario strongly created a reputation and name for himself as a player and gained the respect of many, thus giving him the opportunity to play with various notable artists. Dario has been touring consistently throughout the USA and Europe since 2006. Commented LIZZY BORDEN singer and namesake: "Dario has played three shows with us so far — Germany, Holland and Hollywood, California — and was magnificent at them all. He fits in so perfectly with us; I just know all the LIZZY BORDEN fans around the world are going to be blown away when they see him play."

HARDLINE: NEW CD RELEASED APRIL 17TH FROM FRONTIERS!!

Hardline was formed when brothers Johnny (vocals) and Joey (guitar) Gioeli, originally from the band Brunette, teamed up with Journey/Bad English guitarist Neal Schon. The original plan was for Neal to produce Hardline, but as he was having so much fun that he decided to join the band as soon as he left Bad English for the tensions that arose with John Waite.

They immediately added established musicians Todd Jensen (David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper) on bass and Deen Castronovo (also coming from Bad English) on drums to the mix and the result was magnificent. They went on to record their debut album “Double Eclipse” for MCA in 1992 and then went on the tour circuit with such heavy hitters as Van Halen and Mr. Big.

The first single from “Double Eclipse” was the song "Hot Cherie". While never popular in the mainstream, various radio stations worldwide started to play it and Hardline's fanbase started to grow. They released a video to MTV, but did not get much airplay. By that time grunge and alternative had already taken over and melodic rock was being pushed aside. Tension among band members, the record company and perhaps certain egos, got in the way of an immediate follow-up album, despite the band having written more than enough material. While Neal re-started his adventure with Journey in 1995 (again together with Deen Castronovo), Johnny stepped out of the music business eventually to return as Axel Rudi Pell's singer in 1998 on the album “Oceans Of Time”.

But years later Johnny and his brother Joey were ready to give it another go with Hardline after the call of Frontiers Records, and with an all new line-up they produced the awesome return album “II” in 2002 with Josh Ramos (of The Storm and Two Fires fame) taking Neal Schon's place on lead guitar.

Hailed by critics and fans alike as a top return, the band returned on stage headlining the GODS Festival in Bradford in June 2002 before Johnny and Josh started to work on new songs in 2006. With a renewed line-up now featuring Johnny Gioeli on vocals and Josh Ramos on all guitars, with Michael T. Ross on keyboards, Jamie Brown on bass and Atma Anur on drums, Hardline are now back from where they have left off with a killer new album chock full of killer guitar riffs, amazing hooklines and heartfelt ballad sealed with Gioeli's incredible vocals and the band's instrumental prowess.

PAUL SHORTINO CD RELEASE PARTY IN VEGAS!!

Paul Shortino will be hosting his own Cd Release Party at the Ovation Lounge with Las Vegas' own rockers Sin City Sinners Saturday June 27th at the Green Valley Ranch. His new Cd called "Chasing My Dream" Comes out June 26th on Metal Haven Records!!

A great review of the Cd is from www.therighttorock.com:

Shortino - Chasing My Dream

Shortino - Chasing My DreamPaul Shortino is another one of those great vocalists that doesn’t get the recognition that he deserves. Paul has sung with cult favorites Rough Cutt as well as Quiet Riot. Paul has also put out some stellar releases with guitarist J.K. Northrup - Back on Track and Afterlife. Other than the aforementioned projects, Paul has kept himself busy over the years, by putting out some bluesier material as well as contributing to tribute compilations, but has yearned to get back to his heavy roots. With the release of Sacred Place in 2002, Paul re-established himself as one of the strongest voices in heavy rock. The project was originally envisioned as a Rough Cutt reunion, but unfortunately it never materialized. What came out of it was a great record and a renewed love for heavy music.

Chasing My Dream marks Paul’s latest project and newest collaboration, with producer/guitarist Michael Voss (Casanova, Silver). Paul originally began this project with guitarist Ira Black (Lizzy Borden, ex-Vicious Rumors), but due to Ira’s commitment to Lizzy, he had to drop out of the project. Chasing My Dream is probably the heaviest thing Paul has done since the first Rough Cutt record, which is apparent from the first couple of tracks Remember You and To the Cross. These tunes are fueled by heavy riffs and catchy melodies and to top it off, Paul sounds great! The majority of the record has a Rough Cutt vibe to it, and it could have also been a RC reunion record as well. At this point, my favorite track is a haunting ballad, called Missing. This acoustic based track, begins with a prelude which gets heavier as it progresses. The song’s dark undertones mixed with the melodisism will give you chills.

The first part of the CD has a heavy vibe to it but around the middle of the CD it becomes more of a melodic hard rock record. My only critique is that I wish Michael Voss’ guitars were a bit heavier. Had the guitars had the punch that the material did when Ira Black played on it, then I believe the songs would have been that much more powerful. The only other thing is that the production is spotty in areas. All in all a solid record from one of rock’s greatest voices.

Bottom Line: Solid hard rock with a heavy vibe to it. Memorable songs with great melody.

Standout Tracks: Remember You, Missing, To the Cross and Alone They Ride.

JORN LANDE NEWS!!!!

JORN - Spirit Black Review
June 5 2009, Frontiers records

Spirit Black... says it all, doesn't it ? An 80' style title for an album genuine and classic down to its very roots and - I have to mention this - a big and bold year 2009 for Jorn. Let's briefly remind us that apart from the brand new solo release we should see a new Avantasia before the end of the year, together with Allen/Lande 3rd sequel, not counting the "hopefully big surprise;-)" thing yet... considered alone news of the year by many. How is this possible for Jorn to do it all ?!
Highly anticipated as something ground breaking, Jorn hasn't betrayed his own words when he had promised Spirit Black would hammer JORN legacy in stone. I should let you know at the beginning: be prepared, this one was meant for real!

Jorn has opened his well hidden treasure chest and brings out several precious gems that were lying sad abandoned but once polished they turn out to be very shiny! It's been always more about adding a new spice to the old recipe rather than to force a totally inovative thing. Spirit Black is a piece of art that closes the gap between the past and present - the thing Jorn obviously knows to do so well. It feeds on the past while sounding very modern crunchy metal... and yes, speaking the sound, the mix is first class. Tommy Hansen excels again!

Most songs don't only sound as 80' hard rock, they actually are 80' hard rock, taking us to the more distant part of Jorn's career than most of us have ever heard about, back to the era of ROAD. There were times when Jorn toured with the famous Norwegian outfit in his late teens and his musical future was yet about to be decided...

The new solo is being described as a mixture between The Duke (2006) and Lonely Are The Brave (2008). Am I the only one to feel the fresh breeze Starfire (2000) once had running deep in the blood of this handful of new/old songs ? Charming and vital as it stays well within the borders of classic hard rock genre - more than ever before, the influences are very apparent.
You're going to find a little piece of Whitesnake (Burn Your Flame), RJ Dio (Road of the Cross, Spirit Black), Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow (Below), Phil Lynott (World Gone Mad, Sun Goes Down), Pretty Maids (Rock'n'Roll Angel) and many others, while at the same time the record sounds typical JORN. In the overall album concept the Black Sabbat-y Dio era doomy atmosphere (being a very strong element of Lonely Are The Brave) is somewhat less apparent, instead it has some extra "snake bite" to it, inspired all the way through and spontaneous in its nature which is always a good mark when it comes to hard rock genre.

One thing is common about the album, it's catchy, at times even very catchy, with gorgeously built choruses and an outstanding sense of melody. You will also notice the return of keyboards. They're not over-used in any terms, Jorn just doesn't avoid them any more and they're allowed to appear to enhance the atmosphere now and then.

The line-up has changed again yet the music retains its top quality. On guitar, besides Jorn's old companion Tore Moren, we have Jimmy Iversen (Road) and also Jgor Gianola playing on some songs. Nic Angileri playing bass on one song, the rest being cared for by Espen Mjøen and another Jorn's long lime companion Sid Ringsby. The excellent drum work is courtesy of nobody else than Willy "Wild" Bendiksen.

Let's try to get some insight of songs on this brand new heavy stone........

We step into the new album with Spirit Black a not so typical opener, a slower paced epic stuff similar to what we are used to hearing on Jorn's latest releases, notably The Duke (2006) in this case. The first thing that will come to your mind is its strong Dio influence - as soon as Vinny Apice-like heavy drums start the song and set up to what there is to follow. This could hardly sound more classic than it already does, slowly rolling onward and very groovy, basically built on the same guitar riff for the whole song, powerful as ever vocals yet having no discernable chorus, which - kind of strangely - adds to the song's hammering might and heaviness.

Below is slightly more melodic, built mainly around the delightful vocal line. The focus is well on Jorn here. Playful guitars swirl around the main melody and glide on their own winding path throughout the song. The solo is gorgeous as is guitar work in general.

The album turns suddenly pitch dark with Road of the Cross.
This "black diamond" has exactly the kind of a majestic feel that perfectly matches Jorn's dramatic singing expression, a stunning rhythm section, an intro slowly developing into a purely gorgeous and bombastic hook where keyboards blow an icy breeze around edgy and oriental-savoured guitars. The gothic atmosphere fully unfolds as the heavy beat takes off.. rushing like a raven across blackened skies.
Jorn seems to sing for his life on this one, just as he - right here and now - had to face dark forces of the world, the transitory nature of light and life itself... the light that's fading away until there's but moist darkness and stubbing loneliness left... Once again, this is an incredible presentation of his sheer vocal power.
The track is kind of close to some early JORN compositions on Starfire, as were Gate of Tears and Abyss of Evil. If you are for a true gem, pick up this one!

The Last Revolution raises its heavy as hell wall of guitars and brings more agressive approach to the game. What may be interesting about this track are its mixed influences of both Dio and Coverdale, well-balanced, none is more and none is less in the foreview. All flows on groovy riffs and darkness embracing vocals invited to dominate over this 4-minute of a crusher. Splendidly constructed guitar solo is where the track reaches its peak.

City Inbetween Remember the slow and dramatic song starting with a bell play from Vagabond's "mood" album Huge fan of Life ? 14 years later, here goes its cover.
Vagabond were a somewhat varied affair (and also quite beyond any nameable genre… it was a bit from progressive to pompous rock to jazz... better name it yourself). What we get now is more of a rocker song, still the progressive side of things stays its main attraction and the initial mood remains unchanged. Ethereal, dreamy and atmospheric, with many little hidden melodies and sounds, pure and limpid as glarneys scattered over the playground in the morning sun.
For those new to the song, it will likely take you a few listens to fully appreciate the little intricate yet genius melody. The longer it will take you to get this one into your head, the longer it will stay there!

Rock and Roll Angel starts out as a bluesy and angelic ballad, acoustic guitar sharing the sadness of the velvety voice that seems to be choking in pain before crunchy riffs burst into the song and turn the verse into exactly as stunning chorus. As a pure and classic melodic hard rock with wonderful lyrics and a Pretty Maids feel, this is another instant highlight and perhaps one of the best songs Jorn has been involved in as a solo artist to date. The last chorus features some clean high-pitched add vocals by Jorn that I haven't heard him doing for ages, this is going to send shivers down your spine. Could well be a movie soundtrack. Divine!

Burn Your Flame A forgotten rocker from times of Whitesnake's heyday ? Almost. And exactly as restlessly vital and seducing. It's got all the serpentine charm brought to flawless perfection as only Jorn can. But why compare him with DC every time as through the years he's clearly outreached him and his vocals qualities and any similarity you may find in his voice is just his own. After all, this is exactly how The Snakes third album might have sounded if its band members hadn't parted their ways in 1998...

World Gone Mad Yet another 80' melodic hard rocker, so damn melodic it might lead you into thinking you've heard the song before. Out of this world vocals boast the undefinable Phil Lynott remembrance (listen to Jorn's vocal tone and phrasing!!)
This is an instant-love track, catchy and contagious from the first note all over while retaining the elegancy it finds in its underlying simplicity. Just doesn't try to play any tricks with us. One more highlight!

I Walk Alone We are used to the fact that Jorn covers rock classics but obviously this is the first time he's covering a recent song sung by a female vocalist. Sometimes I do wonder with which Jorn will come next time. You'll never learn where lies the limit of his singing capabilies and every time he proves he can push it somehow further - as it's the case with I Walk Alone originally sung by the former Nightwish frontwoman Tarja Turunen. Clearly, this is not a ballad, although it has a ballad quality to it. A deep and emotional side of things unfolded over the vast winter-storm skies and thrown into the face of everyone who thought he'd hear just a cliché rocker song. How has Jorn coped with operatic type of vocals ? He's done that before if you'll remind of Mundanus Imperium.
In one word: brilliant! Unless the two versions can be hardly compared, they're different like night and day. Inevitably, the urgency and violent emotion will remind you of Beyond Twilight's The Devil's Hall of Fame - meaning that as a positive note. With the extra heaviness the cover has gained, it stays graceful as well as dark and anthemic.

The limited edition of Spirit Black contains one more track, which is well worth getting the special first pressing digipack album version. I'm talking The Sun Goes Down, obviously a Thin Lizzy cover, a ballad from Thunder and Lightning (1983) album, sung by Jorn's smooth and velvety voice style that is so true to the original of Phil Lynott's... well, he pays another homage (let's remind us of LATB cover artwork!) to the legendary singer he apparently holds sacred.

Hopefully Jorn's spirit didn't get black really... :-) I just gotta say it's well alive and kicking! Balance of melody, powerful lyric- and song-writing with enough of song variety, top quality production and last but not least at all - vocals... well, no word is actually worthy describing the charismatic might and emotional impact of Jorn's voice. You may be thousand times prepared, but it will knock you down anyway! Yet count in all the musical influences rooted mosly in 80' classic hard rock... thus fans and addicts of Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Dio, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Rainbow, Journey, Pretty Maids, TNT, JL Turner (the list could go on and on) you're going to find tons of reasons why you should love Jorn's new solo stuff.

It might be a little exaggerated and influenced by my strong enthusiasm about this release to state right away this is Jorn's best solo album to date. Or maybe it's just too early to judge. Let's not forget, the past was filled with highlights as well. It may not be Jorn's best, but definitely is up there with his other masterpieces and already belongs to my favourites together with OTEN and The Duke.

ROB HALFORD NEWS!!!

ROB HALFORD ON PLANETOUT.COM TALKING ABOUT NEW CLOTHING LINE!
PlanetOut, the leading gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender online community, recently conducted an interview with JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

PlanetOut: Rob, you're such a style icon. How did you first develop what would become the metal "uniform?"
Rob Halford: A lot of it was out of experimentation. As I recall, the whole imagery came out of a song called "Hell Bent for Leather". We had an idea of bringing a motorcycle on stage and it made sense that if I ride a bike, I should wear a biker's jacket. It felt right. Elvis was doing it, and he was Mr. Rock 'n' Roll. It was a tough thing, a macho thing. And we had things around at the time that I felt should be utilized, like our fashion designers at the time, who took a jacket and vest and put studs on them all over the place. The sound was there, loud, brash and aggressive, but the look was not yet in place. That's what's so wonderful about the journey we've been on. Once we established a look, you just looked at yourself in the mirror before going on stage to make sure your fly was zipped. We finally looked like the music sounds, and everyone picked up on it and it became the look.
PlanetOut
: Why did you decide to launch an apparel collection [Metal God Apparel]?
Rob Halford: In my golden years I'm looking to fulfill a lot of dreams and ambitions that I still have. One was to be in the world of apparel. I have to confess that I'm not like "The Real Housewives of Orange County" — I'm not in Neiman Marcus every two seconds. But I love fashion. I think it's fun and important, culturally, and I have my eye on that side of the world. Being connected to rock 'n' roll life, I can see how you can go from the roots of cowboy boots and that Ralph Lauren thing to some of the extremely flamboyant displays like the Elvis outfit last night on "American Idol". It's what we're all about. Also, we need to wear clothes, so there's a natural interest to explore that. I've always had fun with costume changes with JUDAS PRIEST and my solo work and I wanted to see what would happen with this new venture. It's just another project with my company; I got my record company up and running, a clothing line about to launch, with even more things on the back burner as we speak. Life is great… I love life… I just wanted to see how much I can get out of it really. And it's a good feeling to have that contact, musically, with people.
PlanetOut: What has been the reaction so far to the clothing collection?
Rob Halford
: I've shown designs and samples to my guy friends, and they're always saying, "I'll take six of them, I'll take four of those." It definitely fits the niche for that type of look. So far the reaction has been encouraging, so I'm fingers crossed that when we hit the official launch, it will be successful. PlanetOut: Do you think that gay audiences will be drawn to these designs? Rob Halford: I think so. I think the gay community is just as open minded as the rest of society is... but I know what you're saying... A t-shirt is a t-shirt, and in terms of visuals, the gay crowd, as can we, can also relate to it. I think that as long as it's cool and edgy, it's got a place. PlanetOut: Along those same lines, I love metal, but I rarely meet mo's that are METALLICA heads. So I'm curious, do you think that heavy metal is still a straight man's arena?
Rob Halford: First, I think it's great that you're a metalhead. I also think that we go as far as stereotyping ourselves, like if you're gay, you've got to be into leather or the white party circuit. I don't understand that because we already have a lot of difficulties. At the end of the day, it's freedom of choice, but we shouldn't be pecking away at each other. There's no doubt that there are LGBT metalheads all over world, because I see them throwing up the devil sign at my shows. Yes, we're a minority within a minority, but metal is for everyone. It's a great kind of rock 'n' roll music.

The Poodles:Streets of Fire(from last cd Sweet Trade)

My input on this band is this: They are a killer and talented melodic rock band that get a lot of shite for their name. Put that aside and listen to "Sweet Trade" and hear how kick ass they truely are! I love their sound and positive messages in their lyrics!Their vocalist Jakob has a excellent voice and he is a rockin frontman! This band is one to be watched. They are going to go far!!!

PRIMAL FEAR CD COMIN OUT MAY 22ND!!!! TODAY!!

The German Metal Commando is back - 16.6 (Before The Devil Knows You're Dead) If your talking about today..s European top metal acts, the discussion is heading straight towards Primal Fear. If you don..t think so, here are the facts: the debut album "Primal Fear", "Jaws Of Death", "Nuclear Fire", "Black Sun", "Devils Groud" and their latest album "Seven Seals" all entered the Germnan album charts on Top 60 positions, plus chartentries in a lot of other European countries and in Japan. Their worldwide shows & tours became a huge success! Sold out locations everywhere and aside of their homecounty Germany, especially in places like Brazil, Spain and Japan! Packed venues and astonished, surprised Metalheads which could not understand what kind of thunder was raging above them. At the peak of their career, Primal Fear ended up the longtime partnership with Nuclear Blast & JVC Records iun 2006 and signed a worldwide multi album deal with Frontiers Records. Both Nuclear Blast and JVC released a final BEST OF album Metal Is Forever, which was a huge success in Japan and stayed for three month in the Burrn Album Charts. Primal Fear started the songwriting for their seventh bw first studio album for Frontiers Records in October 2006 and the recordings started shortly later, again at the House Of Music studio with engineer & co-producer Charlie Bauerfeind (Blind Guardian, Saxon, Hammerfall) and longtime producer and bandmember Mat Sinner. The band improved their sound with a lot of new ideas and a lot of courage. The album will be released worldwide on September 21st 2007 by Frontiers Records and charted in 4 major countries incl. 65 in Germany and 60 in Sweden. Frontiers Records proudly announces the release of PRIMAL FEAR new studio album 16.6 (Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead) on May 22nd in Europe and June 9th in the USA. Anticipated by a successful listening session held in Cologne, Germany, attended by the cream of the European Metal press, the new album is about to bring back Primal Fear to the throne of Heavy Metal. 16.6 is easily the most powerful, ambitious and interesting album in the band’s history. The vibe of songs like the opening track “Riding The Eagle”, “Killbound” or “Under The Radar” are reminiscent of the “Nuclear Fire” album but eh whole album features all the trademarks of the Primal Fear sound a the total dedication to pure Metal. There is also a new approach mixed with the trademark PF riffs in tracks like “Six Times Dead (16.6)”, “Soar”, “Smith & Wesson” as well as the epic stories, consummate musicianship, courage and fantastic melodies in songs like “Black Rain”, “No Smoke Without Fire”, “Torn” and the stylistically new ballad “Hands Of Time” with 4 band members all sharing the lead-vocals.

“Our target was to write and produce the most diverse and interesting album in the history of Primal Fear and combine our past with the future” says Mat Sinner. ”The result went truly beyond our expectations and it will be a huge challenge to play these new songs on stage! The entire band is very proud of 16.6 and we hope all our old and even new fans will be totally satisfied!”

After the Primal Fear / Sinner show in Moscow on April 4th, the band will appear in Norway on April 25th at the Haugesund Festival and in some summer Festivals. More shows are being booked in South America (with Sinner) in August, USA/Canada incl. PPX and the UK in September, followed by Europe kicking off at the end of in October(with Brainstorm) plus Japan & Asia t.b.a.

SAXON AT THE MERIDIAN IN HOUSTON THIS SAT!!!

Saxon playing the Meridian club in Houston,Texas this sat the 23rd!

Rock / British Metal:
Saxon was one of the early leaders of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, along with Iron Maiden and Def Leppard. The band was formed in Barnsley in 1977 by vocalist Biff Byford, guitarists Graham Oliver and Paul Quinn, bassist Steve Dawson, and drummer Pete Gill. Originally calling themselves Son of a Bitch, they soon decided to find a more subtle name, settling on Saxon. Like many young metal bands of the day, Saxon found it difficult to land a record deal in post-punk England, but eventually signed with French-based Carrere Records, releasing their self-titled debut in 1979. They band built a strong following touring Britain as support group to Motörhead and Nazareth and capitalized on this exposure with their sophomore effort the following year. Wheels of Steel featured a much heavier, metallic sound which finally did their songs justice. The album was immediately heralded as a NWOBHM classic by fans and critics alike and the band was apparently on their way. They released two more fine albums, Strong Arm of the Law and Denim and Leather, over the next year while touring relentlessly across Britain, Europe, and the U.S. Even the loss of founding drummer Pete Gill to Motörhead (replaced by Nigel Glockler) didn't slow their momentum, and a live album, The Eagle Has Landed, capped their hot streak in 1982. After experimenting with style and production overe several albums, they returned to their British metal roots. This resulted in their strongest material in years: 1992's Forever Free; 1995's excellent Dogs of War (after which guitarist Graham Oliver departed to re-form Son of a Bitch with Pete Gill and Steve Dawson); 1997's Unleash the Beast; 1999's Metalhead; and 2001's Killing Ground. The band even managed to land a new U.S. record deal with CMC International for the latter two discs, which also led to their first American tour in almost a decade. Byford and Quinn returned in 2004 with Lionheart, a pure metal blast that echoed earlier classics like Denim & Leather and Power & the Glory, followed by the similarly themed Inner Sanctum and Into the Labyrinth in 2007 and 2009, respectively.

MORE MASTERPLAN NEWS!!!!

Masterplan News

About the singer situation?

Sorry for the silence on this page, but we really don't try to create any hype out of it. We would love to tell you the new line-up already some month ago, but we promised not to say anything so far.
It has reasons, which doesn't have anything to do with Masterplan or the current line up. It is more a contract or a business kind of thing ! So don’t blame me or the Band for it!

The new line-up had already a meeting 9 weeks ago and finally again last week for checking and working on the new song material. We had also many nice talks and ideas for the future.

Recording start is finally this weekend in my studio in SK! Album mix is planned for the beginning of August. We're expecting the album release in late Autumn, or let’s say...when it’s finished :O)

Concerning the Forum, we know it has problems we had some issues concerning the servers. A new one will be available.

Hope this helps for the moment and we’ll promise to get the main news out A.S.A.P.

Bio from www.myspace.com/pagansmind

Norway does not only boast a unique, impressive nature – this country also
has a lot to offer musically. Norway has been considered the breeding
ground of Black Metal for years – but knowing that, many tend to forget that
the land of unaffordable alcohol has hatched a handful of top-class,
unmistakable progressive Metal bands. Throughout the eighties and
nineties, bands like TNT, CONCEPTION and TRIVIAL ACT catapulted
Norway into the daily Metal news with their skillful and often genre forming
outputs, but by the turn of the new millennium; a new innovative scene
evolved. In the year of 2000, the Norwegian scene brought up PAGAN'S
MIND, whose latest album is the progressive masterpiece God's
Equation, released in November 2007. The Norwegian quintet put all its
musical experience so far into the album. God's Equation is a musical giant
consisting of groove, melody, intelligent heaviness and ambitious
song writing. Skillfully and cleverly, all musical essences of what constitutes
progressive Heavy Metal, are joined here. But not only progressive for the
sake of it – God's Equation sees the band combine riffs that hit you in the
face as well as catchy melodies and keyboard magic, with a production and
mix that gives the band a unique sound.
