There is a killer show coming to vegas to the Beauty Bar on weds the 27th....Airbourne from Austrailia and Endeverafter from LA!!! I got both of their cds and they are kickass!!!
Airbourne is featured now in Zia's new music-zine and they are a balls to the wall old school sounding young band from a small town in Austrailia. They are reminicient of AC/DC and Rhino Bucket with some KIX thrown in for good measure. In other words: they RAWK!! Check out their new cd at Zia's and Best Buy called Running Wild!!

Rocking Start of 2008 w/ Lukas Rossi,Redroom,La Guns feat-Tracii Guns&Frankie Moreno!
1/04- Lukas Rossi at the Canyon Club:
I thought I would go check out the Lukas Rossi show at the Canyon Club friday nite to see what he was about now since Supernova is kaput. I walked into a small crowd of maybe 100 people coming from all over the place and mostly from Canada to see Lukas perform. Most were fan-club members that were mostly in their late 30's on up range. I was surprised to see that. These were hard-core fans if they came from Toronto to see this guy.
The first thing I found out was that he was going to do a acoustic set and there was to be no flash photography and the lights were seriously low. So I did the best I could and it was a shot in the dark(excuse the pun) but I got some kewl shots...
He played a pretty long set and did mostly originals and a few covers like "Hurt" and "Comfortably Numb" ,which he did a spectacular job on. I loved his version of Jeff Buckley's song, "Halleluia". Lukas has a beautiful voice and he pulled it off perfectly.
When I met him after the show I was like "Dude,ya need to plug it in!!" He laughed and said in two months he has a new band called Stars Down thats going on tour. That should be interesting. He was a really sweet person and was very gracious with all his fans and it was a pleasure meeting him! You can find his web-site here:

After the show there was a new thing going on late nights at the Canyon Club called Pandemic Fridays presented by M.A.D.A.M. It is a Zombie party with live bands and drink specials with a $7 cover.Bands featured that nite were SS Hookers,Betting on Tomorrow and Horror Buisness. I stayed for a bit and it was cool,but I had to head out to see Morpheus' new nite at the Redroom.

1/04/08 (LATENIGHT)THE REDROOM: HISTORY OF ROCK-N-ROLL!!! w/DJ MORPHEUS AND DJ ALLEN!!
Morpheus told me about his new gig on first fridays at the REDROOM on Sahara and ValleyView(before V.V. going west by Arbys) They have three Dj's playing rock from the 50's to today and it was a packed house!!! Lots of trendy scensters were there and a few people I knew were hanging about the smoke filled room chatting and getting down on the dance floor. I couldnt believe how many people were there but it was a fun time!

On to saturday nite!! I thought it might be kewl to go see the other LA Guns play since I saw Phil Lewis' LA Guns last month. I wasnt sure what to expect because I think two bands with the same name is confusing and a bit stupid. I enjoyed the last LA Guns even though I had to leave early, but I remember them not being that energetic or having much of a vibe.....well, guys this other LA Guns is the "REAL" deal!!! This singer Paul Black, really blew me away!! I heard he was the original singer for the band years ago and Phil replaced him. Paul is one of the most kick-ass frontmen I have ever seen!! He had the crowd riled up(and it was a good sized crowd at that) and he was all over the place!!

At one point during "Ballad of Jayne"he got a bunch of the audience on the stage to get on the stage and sit down and sing with him!!! That gave me goosebumps and I gotta tell you audience participation is huge!! I LOVED that!!

My good friend Carol Lyn from Dangerous curve/Rockslide, asked me to come over the the RUSH LOUNGE at the Golden Nugget downtown after the LA Guns show to see her boyfriend Russ' band, The FRANKIE MORENO band play. So, I wandered across the street to the Nugget and found the lounge and was reluctant to go in because there was a piano there and it was a nice lounge...not what I am used to going to. I found Carol Lyn and she introduced me to the Singer/pianist/entertainer, Frankie Moreno.
He is a real handsome guy and I thought,great, this is going to really suck for me. Then she introduced me to her man Russ Letizia again. A guy who is a very Talented Guitarist who is in this band. So is her drummmer Tony Letizia, from Rockslide.
So this guy and the band goes on and its really jazzy sounding at first and then after a couple of songs Frankie starts doing this comedy bit with songs that are dirty and funny as hell. I wasnt expecting this to come outta this guys mouth!!! Lol! He is a hilareous comedian/musician that when you give it some time,it gets crazy in that lounge. He walks around,talking to the audience,being nasty to women and even one point came over to me and was singing to me and I was embarrased as hell! Carol Lyn found this funny!...I think I was red in the face after he was done with me...crazy!

So if you ever find yourself downtown with nothing to do late at nite,go see Frankie Moreno and make sure to tip him well for his work! He kicks ass!!

I wont give these guys horns,but will say they are a blast!! They are great to have a few drinks with and laugh your asses off. This band is seriously talented!

NEWS: PUBLISHED IN NEW PRIEST BOOK & MOJOREPUBLIK!!
I have some great news guys and gals!!! I submitted some photos from my point and shoot camera from about ten years ago when I saw Priest with Ripper on the Jugulator tour in Phoenix and Vegas, to a publisher that found me on myspace,called ECW Press. I have been waiting and wondering if they would even get published and if the book was even coming out! Well my wait is over...yesterday when I got off work I got a BIG package in the mail and there it was: JUDAS PRIEST:HEAVY METAL PAINKILLERS!!!I was shocked to see that I had over 5 photos in two chapters of this book with photo cred and everything!! I was astounded! Priest is my ALL time fave band and to be in such a kick ass book is a dream to me!!
It was written by Martin Popoff a rock journalist and its a history of the band from their roots to today. Its even got the Ripper years and Rob and Glen's solo times in there! You can buy the book on : amazon.com

NEW YEARS ROCKING PARTY WITH KIL JADEN,ROCKSLIDE,SIAMESE GRAFFITTI,JOHN ZITO & GROOM LAKE!!
We had a fantastic line up for New Years at Cheyanne Saloon!!! I knew most of my friends would be there and most of them were that could make it out!! The guys in Kil Jaden helped with the decorating with all the party favors and hats and the place was decorated so great! It was a small party with maybe 150 people at one time but thats alright with us rockers because we are a tight knit family anyway! It was only $10 bucks to get in and that was just fine with us because this was our kind of party with friends and rockers that dont want to spend over $100 to get into a club on New Years,which is ludacris to me.
My friend Gus came out from Buffalo New Yrok for the Vegas festivities and he had a great time!

After a bit of rocking Mary got onstage and sang with Carol and it was a treat because they were just belting it out up there!!! WOW! Two seriously talented chick singers on one stage!! Awesome!!

So after all the rocking out to RockSlide we were just hanging about talking till we sobered up and it was about 3:30 when I had to bail out. It was a GREAT New Years and since I didnt get to party last year at this time because of my surgery at Mikes house,this was a great way to make up for it!!! Thank you to all the rockers that came out and made it a killer nite!! Thanks to all the bands for bringing in 08 in such a fantastic way!! VEGAS does truly RAWK!!!!!!!!!!

NASHVILLE PUSSY AFTER PARTY W/OBJEX&SCOUNDRELS!
I didnt got to see the Rev.Horton Heat featuring Lemmy and Nashville Pussy at the HOB because I had to go to work and make money for a change,but I heard this show was a must see and everyone had a great time.
They had an after party at The ROX and I said, "what the hell" and went out to see the Objex play with The Scoundrels and Buckshot. I have seen the Objex before and love Felony Melony and co, so I was excited to see that crazy punker chick perform again!
Buckshot went on first and that kind of music isnt my cup of tea but they were still a good band for what they do which sounded rockabilly to me.
Then we got ready for Melony to hit the small ROX stage and I wondered if she would stay up there,its so small and she is so energetic! Well,she came out in a whirlwind and proceeded to kick our asses!! I love this band if not just for the raw energy that Melony puts into the crowd! She is small but packs a wallop and gets in your face with that crazy mohawk!
I love this girl and she is sweet too! At one point she jumped off the stage and got up on the railing of the stairs and sang her heart out to the crowd below!

After Mel and Co.blew our socks off there was one more band to come and it was a band I havent heard of because I am such a metal-head and dont usually go to these kinds of shows but I was glad I got to see these bands just because its good to hear something new. This next band up was called the Scoundrels and its fronted by cutie Bianca Banannas. As she was singing she really reminded me of Gewn Stephani just how she moved and the music was reminicient of that kind of Ska/punk/rock. I could be wrong but hey, I am not too up to date on this kind of music.

This was a pretty fun show and I enjoyed being there to see these two outgoing Punk- Rock chicks strut their stuff!!! They play a lot out in the scene in Vegas so you should go see them.
